Ingredients
-flour (ngano) 1/2 kg
-eggs 4
–Sugar 1/4 kg
-BUTTER 6 TABLESPOON
-milk 1/2 LITTER
-vanilla 1 tablespoon
-lemon zest 1 teaspoon
-fresh blueberries
STEP BY STEP: HOW TO MAKE BLUEBERRY cake
1.Combine the flour, baking powder and salt in a medium bowl.
Whisk whisk together the flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
2.Beat the butter and sugar for a few minutes (2 mins) until light and creamy.
3.Add eggs one at a time,
4.Beat in the vanilla extract and lemon zest.
5.Mix in the flour mixture little by little
6.Add milk little by little, beating on low speed to combine.
7.Add the berries to the batter
8.Distribute evenly, but do not over mix
9.Transfer the batter to the prepared pan and spread evenly.
10.Bake for about 30 minutes ,insert a toothpick to see if the cake is ready
DECORATING A CAKE WITH BLUEBERRY SAUCE
-Blueberries
-Lemon juice
-sugar
-salt
a).Place the blueberries,sugar,salt and water in a medium saucepan. Heat on medium heat, stirring, until all of the sugar has dissolved.
b)While the mixture is heating, use a potato masher to mash up the blueberries.
c)Add lemon juice
d)Remove from heat. Strain out the blueberry skins and let the juicy blueberry syrup cool for 10 minutes.
e) Add milk If you want and stir
f)Top the cake with blueberry sauce
